A total sin cos' there is no real focal point to transverse this from this null set of ideas into a more solid sphere of humour. Truely this line is not my area. My translation of these notions looses something from their original magnitude, & is left un-paralelled & looking a little plane.

I do know that; in what became known as the 'Calamari trial'; Dr O was well grilled & verbally battered by lawyers. There were the usual tears & occasional ink blot of remorse, but sucker prints found at the scene of the crime meant a high tide of public opinion went against what was a rather watery defence, leaving Dr O high & dry. Eventually the sands of time ran out. He went to the chair & fried.

We went sailing as planned this Sunday past.
The weather was not entierly planned, although it was taken on as a challenge.
(Well no one was backing down anyway)

Couple of things I've learned now about sailing in a snow storm.

1) The boat fills with snow .....fast.
2) The bailers designed for the slightly more fluid version of water don't work with snow.
3) Which ever tack you are sailing on is the side of you that will form a small snow drift.
4) You always appear to be sailing into the stuff, even when sailing down wind.
5) It's quite cold on the ears.
6) Its quite cold on the toes.
7) It's best not to put your feet into the water.
8) Sailing into snow & eye glasses are the best combination.
9) Falling in the water no longer becomes a trivial option.
10) Hot tea is quite nice.
11) Your popularity wanes a smidgen if you forget to turn the heating on in the changing rooms.

I was recently instructing on a sailing course, teaching the use of spinnakers.
I know I shouldn't make fun , but though no fault of their own really , the two students made every mistiake in the book.
Mostly this was due to some pretty appauling weather,a spot of poor communication, lack of decisiveness and a little bad luck.
They never managed to put the thing on upside down I might point out & they did manage

pull it all together at the end of the day & pass the course.

I guess there is no bad student, just a bad teacher . So I shall shut up now.

The only circumstantial evidence a few well charred burgers allegedly tracked upon atmospheric re-entry.
The cow trail seems to have gone cold.

One of my works projects. The main contractor has actually built the building 6 inches to low. Problem is its the underground car park level that's too low.

They all have mobile phones now.
A couple of tin cans and some string made a good pair of stilts.
Well how can that compete with the latest mountain bike as transport?
Most of the group games I had as a kid involved a can that needed to be kicked or knocked.
Oh ....and what endless hours of fun I had with string.

Any way its my theory that such things have passed from childish games & is why we have such an excess landfill problem.

I'd like to think Tonto would have saved them all, but as we know he was allergic to dog hair, located in the wrong hemisphere for kangaroos, hadn't had a CRB check; therefore was barred from working around children and frankly had racial issues with his long time colleague Mr The Ranger. Despite working as a team for many a year he couldn't grasp why the arrogant ,self important swine still insisted on being called Lone.

Yes its a necessity , but I kind of get bored with the level of health & safety awarness being thrust at me every day .

I think I might produce a line of warning lables that just read, "Danger beware or everything"
just so I can cut through all the arse covering rubbish & safety training regimes & get on with my work.
